These terms govern your use of AbuDhabiSchools.com (the “Service”), operated by AbuDhabiSchools.com (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
AbuDhabiSchools.com provides independent information, rankings, and comparison tools for schools in Abu Dhabi. We aggregate publicly available data (primarily from ADEK directories and Irtiqaa inspection reports) and our own analysis. We are not affiliated with ADEK or any school.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for any activity under it. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
3. Pro access
- Pro is a one-time payment, not a subscription. There are no recurring charges.
- Pro is billed via Stripe in the currency shown at checkout. Currency conversion is handled by Stripe; the exact AED-equivalent may vary by a small amount.
- We offer a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund on first-time Pro purchases. Email hello@abudhabischools.com from the same address you used to upgrade and we’ll process it within one business day.
- Pro access is tied to your account. You can sign in from any device.
4. Acceptable use
When using the Service you agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data beyond normal browsing, except through credentials and within rights expressly granted under the Developer/API Terms or a signed data licence.
- Resell or redistribute our rankings, scores, or paid content without written permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with other users, or probe for vulnerabilities.
- Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.
The public website, Consumer Pro, evaluation API keys and commercial Developer Services carry different rights. Consumer Pro is for individual product features and does not grant API access, commercial use, redistribution, database reconstruction or data-resale rights. Developer REST API and MCP use is governed by the separate Developer/API Terms and any applicable order.
5. Accuracy and independence
We take care to present accurate, up-to-date information, but the Service is provided “as is”. School data changes over time — inspection ratings, fees, curricula and contact details should be verified with the school directly before making enrolment decisions.
Our AbuDhabiSchools Score and rankings are editorial judgements based on public data. They are opinions, not official ratings, and should be one of several inputs into your decision.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including the AbuDhabiSchools Score methodology, rankings, written commentary, normalised models, design and code, is owned by us or our licensors. Underlying inspection and school data may belong to ADEK, schools and other source owners. You may link to pages on AbuDhabiSchools.com and share short excerpts with attribution; you may not reproduce substantial portions of the Service without our permission or a separate Developer/data licence.
7. Third-party links
The Service contains links to third-party sites (schools, ADEK, KHDA, social networks, payment providers). We are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific school information is current or accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decision you make about a school based on the Service.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Abu Dhabi, unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
